Photographer, artist, and videographer in St. David, AZ.
Hi, my name is Lee Peterson, and I’m an artist and photographer currently living in the peaceful town of St. David, Arizona, which is located in the scenic Southeast corner of the state. I truly enjoy the rural lifestyle and the sense of calm it brings. Exploring both the local area and the wider state is one of my favorite pastimes. It’s a wonderful way to unwind, get some fresh air and exercise, and take in the stunning landscapes—whether it’s the majestic mountains, expansive desert, or charming small towns scattered throughout.
My passion for photography began at a young age; I first picked up a camera when I was just 9 years old. By the time I was 19, I had purchased my very first 35mm film camera, sparking my deep love for traditional photography. In 2008, I transitioned to digital photography and acquired my first digital camera. Besides taking photos, I also collect a variety of cameras, including both film and digital models, as a way to connect with the history and technology behind the craft.
My guiding motto is “Dare to be Different,” which reflects my dedication to capturing unique and compelling images. I specialize in weather phenomena, cityscapes, and landscapes that highlight the diverse beauty of our surroundings. One of the most rewarding ways I share my work is through creating photobooks and producing large metal prints, which bring my images to life in a striking and tangible format.
If you’re interested in commissioning a project or purchasing any of my photographic work, please feel free to contact me directly at leepeterson@flashfirephotographyvideo.com. I look forward to connecting with you!
